Equilibrium
Pages
In a level II analysis, we assume that equilibrium has been achieved within the reactor.
This is not always a useful constraint. For example, a level II analysis of the CFSTR is not useful unless there is a significant reverse reaction, D —> A, therefore the level 2 analysis is omitted for this reactor type.
Links to the analysis-building activities can be found in the sub-menu located on the left, or in the table below.
| Reactor Type | Conservation Law | Equilibrium Constraint | Link |
| CSFTR | mass | NA | Try it now |
| Heat Exchanger | energy | T1 = T2 | Try it now |
| Mass Contactor | mass | Phase Equilibrium Achieved | Try it now |
